Germany the heart of Europe

 

1. Interconnectedness

Germany is the heart of Europe, officially known as the Federal Republic of Germany situated nearby the Central-Europe. Germany is bordered by the North Sea, Denmark, Poland, the Czech Republic, Austria, Switzerland, France, Luxembourg, Netherlands and Belgium.
 

2. Territory

The territory of Germany is about 357,021 Km2 and it has a great environmental scenario all around the territory.
 

3. Population

The population of Germany is comprised of more than 82 million inhabitants. It is the largest population reckoned by the European Union and it is the home of International-Migrants globally.
 

4. Religion

Christianity is the religion of most of the Germans as it retains 53 million (64%) believers. The second largest religion in Germany is Islam including 3.3 million (4%) devotees. Similarly, Buddhism and Judaism have 200,000 (0.25%) believers, whereas Hinduism does have approximately 90,000 (0.1%) devotees in Germany.
 

5. Languages

German is the mother-language widely spoken in Germany and it is one of 23 official languages comprehensively considered in conferences of the European-Union. Germany contains three working languages under the European Commission like Germany itself, French and English.

There are some native minority languages in Germany including Danish, Sorbian, Romany and Frisian.

Some of the immigrant languages are Polish, Turkish, Balkan and Russian.

The most cultural language of Germany is the West-Germanic-Language which is directly related to English, Dutch and the Frisian languages.

Today, Germany has become one of the largest national economies in the World. Different products of Germany go through all-encompassing domains of European countries. These products are consisted of automobiles, machineries, metals, chemical goods, agricultures, etc. Germany is the largest manufacturer in wind turbines and solar power technology all around the world and that’s why Germany is known as the ‘Giant of Engineering’.
 

7. Science and Technology

Germany is one of the countries in the world that does have historic personalities in the field of science and technology including Albert Einstein and Max Planck, Max Born and Werner Heisenberg (Ever greatest physics scientists). Whereas, Hermann von Helmholtz, Joseph Von Fraunhofer, Gabriel Daniel Fahrenheit Wilhelm Conrad Rontgen were the Pioneers of X-rays. Wilhelm Wundt is the greatest psychologist in the empirical science. Heinrich Rudolf Hertz’s is the giant of telecommunication developed electromagnetic radiation and Alexander Von Humboldt is the natural scientist developed bio-geography.

Germany is the land of poets and philosophers. Germany has deep roots in religion, secularism, culture, myth, history, science, technology, classical music, philosophy, rock music, pop music, art, craft, painting and composing, etc. These are all the holistic and cultural features of Germany which have been implemented since the evolution of Germany.
 

9. Media

German-Media is very strong and everlasting as it is all-encompassing throughout the Europe. There are about 34 million TV households in Germany which shows the largest Television Network Coverage in the Europe.

The Federal-Political-Structure is associated by the regional and national public channels in Germany.

Almost 90 % Germans do have the access of cables and satellite TV.

Public Television access is very wide-spreading in Germany including digital mediums of ZDF and ARD. Germany has the world’s largest medium multinationals like Bertelsmann and the publisher Axel Springer.

The country’s news is provided in English by news magazine Der Spiegel, state broadcaster Deutsche Welle and news site The Local.

In November 2007 the top websites by German internet users awarded by Google, Ebay, Youtube, Yahoo, studiVZ and Wikipedia.

Concisely, we can say that Germany is one those countries in the world which is progressing in the field of science and technology by leaps and bound as the people of Germany are intellectual, philosophers, deep thinkers, scientists, technologists, poets, agriculturists, industrialists, music composers, media experts and highly brain workers.
